OBRA: 2011: Cat 4 Women's Series

The 2011 Veloforma Norman Babcock Cat 4 Women's Series features seven events in various road racing disciplines during the 2011 season. Promoters have agreed to run separate cat 4 women's fields at these events:

May 28	Bend Don't Brake Road Race (Bend, OR)
June 12	OBRA Time Trial Championship (Peoria, OR)
June 26	Fairview Circuit Race (Fairview, OR)
July 2	Swan Island Criterium (Portland, OR)
July 10	High Desert Omnium Road Race (Bend, OR)
August 7	Albany Criterium (Albany, OR)
August 26-28	Eugene Celebration Stage Race, Final GC (Eugene, OR)

All finishers at each event will receive series points, following this scale:

1st	100
2nd	70
3rd	50
4th	40
5th	36
6th	32
7th	28
8th	24
9th	20
10th	16
11th-99th	5

Updated points standings during the series will be posted here on the OBRA website.

This series honors the late Norman Babcock, of Eugene, a strong supporter of women's cycling who passed away in 2008. The goal of the series is to offer women opportunities and encouragement to try various kinds of road racing.
