REGISTRATION:
*Pre-registration is strongly encouraged! There is a 300 rider field
limit! However, that being said the fields of the last 3 yrs have been
180-250, so don't let the limit scare you away! If you decide to race
day-of, there shouldn't be a problem.so come experience one of the best
mountain bike races in the state!
*PRE-REGISTRATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 14th*
Race day registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and CLOSES 20 minutes before each
start. You can also register the day before (and pay only a $5
late
fee), Saturday May 20th from 12-5 p.m. at Bicycle Bob's Oregon Coast
Cyclery, 428 SW Coast Highway 101 in downtown Newport.
START/FINISH AND REGISTRATION LOCATION:
Mike Miller Educational Park, about two miles south of the Newport
Yaquina Bay Bridge on US Hwy 101, watch for the sign. There is NO PARKING
for racers in the park, but there will be parking in several nearby lots,
so watch for parking attendants and signs to direct you. Overnight camping
available nearby at South Beach State Park. PLEASE TRY TO CAR POOL as
parking is limited! Please be VERY CAREFUL crossing the busy,
tourist-laden Highway 101!
ATTENTION: High School Mtn Bikers! For the 3rd year in a row, the
race
will include the Oregon
High School Challenge Team Competition!!! Special prizes and traveling
trophy (now held by Cascade HS) to the top team in Beg Jr Mens and
Womens!!! Top 3 riders for your school score! Please note your HS
team on
the registration form for scoring purposes.
