Third Annual
OREGON CYCLING CONFERENCE

Presented by the MAC Cycling Committee and the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association
Saturday, January 19th, 2002


This year, the MAC Cycling Committee and the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association will present a program featuring some of the pre-eminent cycling coaches and trainers in North America. Subjects including the biomechanics and physiology of high performance cycling, training methods and long term strategies, nutrition and fitness, athlete and sport development, will all be discussed in panels and in seminars throughout the day.

The sessions will be organized in several parallel tracks with panels and seminars appropriate for the needs of all racers. There will be also afternoon sessions for officials, for race directors, and for some active participation in yoga and studio cycling. In the evening, the annual banquet will feature Mike Adamson's photo revue, BAR presentations and a drawing for some substantial Door Prizes.

Must be received by Wednesday, January 16th. Reservations are a MUST!

CHECK IN:
For conference opens at 7:30 am Saturday.
Signup sheets for each session will be available at check-in, first come, first served.
OBRA membership is not required, but membership applications will be available.
The "tracks" that will flow throughout the day will generally reflect subject matter dealing with: Racing, Cycling Technique, Nutrition and Health, Strength and Power, Scheduling and Periodization and Focus and Visualization
Each "track" will offer various "takes" on that subject matter, by different experts in that field and will sometime concentrate on different points of view or theoretical bases, or exploring a particular aspect of the subject.

Note that the activity sessions require appropriate clothes. Locker space (or safekeeping) is available for guests, directions will be available at the registration table.

The Multnomah Athletic Club is located between 18th and 20th Avenues on SW Salmon Street in the Goose Hollow neighborhood of downtown Portland. Right next to PGE Park.
