Prize / Awards Four hundred dollars cash split among the first place men and women on the road and MTB course, $100 each. Ribbons and Swag for all other categories For the second year in a row a bounty has been set on the Road course Record, Currently $200 and growing. Course Description: Road and Mountain Bikers start back-to-back in the Lithia Park Plaza. Roadies follow a police escort out of town onto HWY 66. Riders will turn right after 10 miles of rolling terrain onto Old HWY 99. A six mile climb will bring you an aid station at Callahan’s (junior start). Immediately after crossing under I-5 you’ll take a left turn continuing on HWY 99 then taking the next right onto the Mt. Ashland access road for the final 9 miles of climbing. The mountain bikers will join you on the road for the final two miles of climbing to the finish at the Mt. Ashland Ski Lodge. Mountain bikers will start climbing immediately out of Lithia Park following the old Spring Thaw route on the 2060 loop road to an aid station at Four Corners. At Four Corners you’ll turn left, then right on 2080 followed by another left at Bull Gap. You'll merge onto the Ski Ashland access road and join the roadies for the final two miles of paved climbing to the finish at the Mt. Ashland Ski Lodge. The Rest: Mountain bikes defined as 1.5" or larger tires Numbers on the Right Finish elevation is over 6,500 feet and temperatures can be quite chilly at the top. We will have a vehicle to shuttle your warm clothing to the top. No support other than aid stations. Helmets are mandatory at all times on the bike, pre, during, and post event. All OBRA rules are in effect. OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participant.
